SIMPLY STUNNING
This is the reason so many of us are pulled to this region. (make sure you have the sound up!) Enjoy - and have a great weekend!

Thanks to a new Jobs Board Facebook page -- created by Schroon Laker Shelby Davis -- there's now one stop shopping for area job hunters seeking full and part time seasonal work.
From new restaurants like Sticks and Stones, to favorites like Witherbee's Carriage House and Mr. P's Mountain Smokehouse and Shleby's Kitchen Therapy, to the busiest place in town during the summer -- the Grand Union -- there are more than two dozens jobs currently listed.
"I was originally going to start a staffing agency, a small business for the local area," Shelby told Schroon Laker today.
"But it made more sense to open it up to everyone, and then the Facebook page was born."
Today's Throwback Thursday picture comes to us from the archive of the Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society, courtesy of member and avid local historian Tim Botterbusch.
Writes Tim: I believe it was located were Red Horse Antiques is at, across from the Glens Falls National bank. In later years I believe they moved up the street too were the current pharmacy is located".
The building today's pharmacy is located in was built in the early 1970s, after a fire destroyed the original building. Tim also tells us that the two long glass display cases -- at the right side of the picture -- are now part of the museum's permanent collection.

We took this photo around sunet last Saturday, from the west side of the lake looking east. In a few short weeks, this mountain will be a sea of green. No matter what the season, there is so much beauty to enjoy here. Got a photo you'd like to share? Email us at schroonlaker@me.com
