It's Spring Tomorrow -- Really!!!
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:04PM It's hard to imagine, but at 7:02 am Wednesday morning, Spring officially arrives in the Adirondacks. But don't tell that to any Schroon Laker who has cabin fever and was hopping for an early ice melt, the ground to thaw and the colors of Spring to be popping here anytime soon. No, the only folks pleased about Mother Nature's latest dump are the skiers, snow shoers, and riders of snow mobiles who now have several inches of the fresh, white stuff to play in. (And of course our much loved snow plowers, who keep our driveways clean and clear)
For those lucky enough to sneak off to Gore Mountain mid week -- not only will you have the mountain pretty much to yourselves, but a ton of fresh powder, which will still be around for the weekend crowds.
