Recognizing The Best Of The Best

By all measures Schroon Lake is a jewel in the crown of all ADK towns. Compared to many other hamlets, Schroon Lake has so much to offer its year round residents, second home owners, day trippers and vacationers.

What makes this town tick is the work of dedicated individuals in the public and private sectors as well as the community groups.

And since 1976, Schroon Lake has recognized those outstanding citizens and groups who have made a difference in our community.

And now the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the Citizen or Organization of the Year 2012.

From the Chamber of Commerce's Rosemarie Ritson:

If you would like to nominate someone for 2012, you must write a letter to the Chamber of Commerce.Your nomination letter should include the accomplishments for which this person or organization should be honored.  Details of the achievements, volunteer endeavors, personal characteristics, community support and efforts toward quality of life improvements will be considered.  The nominee need not be a Chamber of Commerce member, but must reside in the Town of Schroon, North Hudson, Paradox or Severance

The nominee will be honored at the Chamber’s  annual dinner in June.If you’d like to submit a nomination you must submit a signed letter of a nomination to the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce by May 8, 2012 at:
