Schroon Laker Raymond “Clifford” Rogers has died. The 75-year-old former inn keeper, business owner and local legend passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 30, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Pastor R. Clifford Rogers and Gretta Adams Rogers.
Cliff lived in Schroon Lake for more than 30 years. Before living in the Adirondack Mountains, Cliff and Phyllis lived in Saddle River, N.J., where he worked for RCA, Phillips Electronics and later Continental Electronic.
Cliff served in the U.S. Army, stationed at White Sands Missile Range, N.M. from 1960 to 1962.
The Rogers have had many businesses in the area, including, Great Northern Auto Parts and Silver Spruce Inn.
