FINALLY -- THE ICE IS OUT ON SCHROON LAKE

Depending on your vantage point the ice went out in Schroon either Wednesday or today. By us  -- north of the Narrows, it was around 3.20 pm today, according to what we witnessed on our Dropcam. The gallery of frame grabs from our Dropcam above shows the dates and times of what the lake looked like over the last several days. If you were participating in the Schroon Lake Lions Club Ice Out Contest, the official results are after the jump:

Okay everyone -- go find your Ice Out tickets... I received word that the official Ice Out time occurred today, April 17 at 11:19 am...
