March Madness in Schroon

If you think March is one of the quieter months in Schroon – think again – there’s a ton of activities up for grabs, just check out our CALENDAR section.

On Saturday night at Timberwolf’s Pub it's Open Mic Night, hosted by the one and only Vincent Cangelosi Haley. It’s always a rockin’ and fun filled event. The night kicks off at 8pm and there are always drink specials.

And there's always the Witherbee's Open Mic Night every Thursday night.

Keep an eye out on the lake in the weeks ahead for the Lion's Ice Out Robot to make an appearance. Last year the ice went out on March 20, 2012 @ 3:50PM.

Tickets are now on sale at the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce office on Main Street for the chance to win a cash prize for accurately predicting when the ice goes out this year.

A snow sculpting contest on Saturday at the Fountain Park has been canceled by the organizers.

And don’t forget the Ski Tow is open all weekend for skiing, tubing and sledding.
