Seagle’s Shining Stars

Meet the Seagle Music Colony Post Season artists for 2012: Kristen Lassiter, soprano, Annalize Sussman, mezzo-soprano, Tony DiMeglio, baritone and Stephen Clark, bass. This weekend they will be performing a new show, a Century of Song, featuring an extraordinary selection of Broadway show tunes and opera classics. The director is SMC's Tony Kostecki, who will be pulling double duty on the piano.

If you didn’t get a chance to see Seagle’s wonderful summer season this year, you have no excuses: make your way to the Colony this Sunday at 8pm. Tickets are $20 at the door or at the box office by calling 518-532-7875.

If you can’t make the show this Sunday, you are in luck. Next weekend there are three performances of show at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls, Friday and Saturday (Sept. 7 & 8) at 8 pm, and a matinee on Sunday (Sept. 9) at 2pm.  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the Wood Theater box office at 518-874-0800or online at woodtheater.org.

The four performers will also be sharing their talent  with the next generation, while here in Schroon.  They’ll be taking a production of Little Red Riding Hood  on the road to area schools during the month of September.

And to help their mission, Seagle has launched a fall fund raising campaign. There’s a safe and secure way to donate here.

Did you see a Seagle show this past summer? What was your favorite performance? Tell us in comments.
