There's a great way for kids to learn about the history of the Adirondacks in this weekly summer tradition of Tall Tales at The Paradox House Gallery Retreat. Are the stories fact or fiction? The tours are narrated by local Laura Donaldson, who knows more than she can fit into this 30 - 45 minute tour. Advance tickets are a must and are available at the Chamber of Commerce office on Main Street. 518-532-7675.

Tennis, (for kids) anyone? The Town of Schroon sponsors weekly tennis lessons on Tuesdays at 9 am and Thursdays at 5pm. Details at the Town Hall.

Wanna keep in shape over the summer? Zumba Queen Cathy Peace sweats off those extra calories you may have picked up, twice a week at her Zumba workout. Every Tuesday and Thursday mornings (8 am to 9 am) @ the Schroon Lake Central School gym, join Cathy for some zoomin’ Zumba. $5 per class.

IM3 Inter-Mountain Trio,  always offer up some terrific tunes and folk music when they play Schroon. If you haven’t caught this act before, you are in luck. Tonight, at the Boathouse at 8pm. Sponsored by the Schroon Lake Arts Council.

Wednesday

Need a good Summer read for you and the kids? Check out the weekly Used Book Sale in the basement of the Hudson Headwater Medical Center. Sponsored by the Friends Of Schroon Lake Library. 10 am - 1 pm.

Story time for kids at the Public Library goes at 10.30 am. Guest readers each week read and bring children's stories to life.
