Blaze Destroys East Shore Home On Schroon Lake

A fire, believed to be caused by a lightening strike from last night’s storm, destroyed a home in the Blue Sky Estate on the East Shore of Schroon Lake.

The homeowners, from Albany, were not at the residence at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The blaze started at around 9pm in one of the original homes in the development, Schroon Laker has learned..

Fire Departments from Horicon, Pottersville and Schroon were among several departments who successfully stopped the fire from spreading to other homes in the development.
