Flirting With Spring

Schroon Laker Ray Wright’s stunning photo of a hummingbird’s beak wedged deeply into a flower to extract nectar comes from a nice write up about him in the Nyack News and Views Blog.

Ray is a retired realtor who spent decades selling real estate before retiring 12 years ago. These days he devotes a lot of his free time capturing stunning nature shots. From the Nyack News and Views:

One of Ray’s favorite shots is of a hummingbird drinking the nectar of a Red Salvia in his wife’s garden at their cottage on Schroon Lake. Barbara Wright is an artist in her own right.  Her medium is horticulture.  She was the official gardener for all Wright Bros. properties during her husband’s tenure as company president.
