The Docks Are Back In Town

Just a few short weeks ago, the above scene didn't exist. That lush grass?  Under a good foot of water. Those town docks? Out of harm's way in the boat trailer parking lot. But as the near record lake levels finally receeded, life is returning to normal at the Town docks. It won't be long until the Town installs the other floating docks, but as you will see after the jump, many water front residents are not quite out of the water.

Yesterday a  home owner wades through a couple of inches of water on her recently installed dock. Two large rocks at either end of the dock are helping to keep it from floating. The Schroon Lake Marina is finally getting caught up on seasonal installations after high lake levels made it near impossible to safely get the docks back in and on the water.
